Volunteer With Us
At the Greater Attleboro Area Council for Children, volunteers are the heart of what we do. Whether you have a few hours to spare or want to make a regular commitment, your time and talents can make a meaningful difference in the lives of local children and families.
From providing essential clothing and holiday gifts to supporting creative learning experiences, there are opportunities to get involved throughout the year.
Refresh
Refresh provides free, quality clothing to children, teens, and families in our community. Volunteers help ensure that every family has access to clothing that fits, feels comfortable, and supports their dignity and confidence.
Volunteer opportunities include:
Sorting, inspecting, and organizing donated clothing
Preparing clothing for display and distribution
Assisting with inventory management and barcode tracking
Organizing storage areas and seasonal clothing transitions
Helping families during scheduled shopping appointments
Supporting donation drives and special projects
Flexible volunteer opportunities are available year-round. Whether you enjoy organizing, working with families, or helping behind the scenes, there's a place for you at Refresh.
Christmas is For Kids
During the first two weeks of December, volunteers work tirelessly behind the scenes to organize and distribute holiday packages to local families.
Volunteers are required to complete a CORI form every year.
Children ages 13–17 must also pass a CORI check and may volunteer only when accompanied by an adult who has also passed a CORI check.
All new volunteers of driving age or above MUST include a copy of their driver's license with their CORI form.
Once complete, volunteers can sign up for shifts where they’ll select a child’s wish list, shop in our distribution center, and assemble packages—all under the guidance of our seasoned “elves.”
Volunteers are welcome to sign up for as many slots as they like here: Greater Attleboro Area Council for Children: Christmas is For Kids 2026 Elfing
