2024 Class Requirements for Returning CIFK Parents

Participants in the program less than 4 years:  returning parents need to do 4 classes (8 hours) or 20 hours of volunteering (see the volunteer log sheet).  This is an EITHER/OR choice, not partials of both.

Participants in the program 4 or more years:  above requirements plus ADDITIONAL 2 classes (4 hours) that must be on financial education (go to American Credit Counseling classes or on-line via the library sites)

We have tried to choose classes with a variety of topics. We hope that you will find a class that will make an immediate and positive impact for you and your children.

  • Returning parents: Applications must be completed and back to us, including all documentation, by the due date on the application. A late application will put you on the waiting list. Please see the due dates on the application.

  • Returning parents who have been in the program 4+ years: remember that you will need 4 additional hours of class time, specifically focused on financial education. A great place for this is through American Credit Counseling.
