Attention
Non Profit Groups - As many of you know,
the Attleboro Area Council for Children, Inc. has continually raised its
own funds. Not an easy job when you have no paid staff, limited
printing and postage costs. We know that many of you have experienced
tremendous cutbacks in state funded programs. For our citizen based volunteer group that advocates for children, we wanted
to share an idea that we have been using successfully in keeping money in our
Council accounts. Since we rely heavily on our volunteer operated Council, we
have participated in the easiest event possible.

Our long time friend, Dave Kane (right) created a great dinner
theater concept called Just for FunDS.
The dinner is prepared
on site at a dining facility. Dave Kane provides the entertainment with
great audience participation. All we do is sell tickets for $30, we
keep $10 from every ticket we sell and the best part is that it is not
held on just one night. Since this is a weekly fundraising show, one
week you can sell 20 tickets and you have already made $200! If you
sell 100 tickets you already have made $1000 with no effort other than
selling the tickets. You get to offer different dates to those
interested.
It has been our
experience that if we share the weekly availability of the Just for
FunDS show, we all benefit. We get a full room of fun entertainment;
offer a nice meal and evening out for our many benefactors.
