The Councilfor Children
sponsors this program where new teddy bears, under
12" are placed in Police and Fire Vehicles, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital ER and
Pediatric Unit and Juvenile Court in all of Southeastern MA offices. The new teddy bear is
used by personnel to calm children who are found in stressful and sometimes violent
situations. These may range from motor vehicle accidents, a hospital stay to proceedings at the various
Juvenile Courts in Southeastern MA.

The new teddy bear is the child’s to
keep and love. The Attleboro Sun Chronicle is the program's official drop off point for
those wishing to donate bears. Since the program's inception in 1993, the newpaper has been our official
collection point, collecting over 6000 bears to date.
Bears on Board recently
received a donation of cuddly and happy teddy bears due to a wonderful
collaboration between the Council, the Norton Daisy Girl Scouts
and Plaster Plus of North Attleboro. Click
