Backpack Program - HBBP
The Council for Children does not want a child to go without a party and gift on their special day. In October 2004, the Council entered their Happy Birthday Backpack Project for USA Weekend: Make A Difference Day, a national day of caring. Many caring community individuals and groups have continued to make these Birthday packs available to agencies that serve our children.

Agencies can access these Happy Birthday Packs for clients in need. Parents must be referred by an agency in order to receive a HBBP. The group needs the request well in advance of the child’s birthday. Since we have no paid staff, an e-mail is the quickest method to access delivery of a specified Backpack. If you should have any questions or would like to obtain backpacks , please feel free to contact us. Backpacks are in age/gender categories: Ages 3-6, 7-12, 13-18
